SOLD: 1953 John Deere 40 Tricycle Gas Tractor for SALE at $2500 Oxford, Miss.
Nice running, starting, driving and steering John Deere 40 with 3-Point and all good tires. Great original condition and you can see how easy it steers too and even Stacy our 6’5″ mechanic fits on here well. Rear tires are 75% and some normal weather checking on front and back. Rear are Armstrong 11.2×34′s. Fronts are 50%. 1953 model and Serial # 71352. Lights don’t work. Oil pressure reads perfect in the normal range but the glass is broke out of the gauge and is faded but you can see the needle move yet and that its all normal range where it should be on a 2 cylinder like this. Amp and water temp gauges we don’t think work. If it needs anything all we see it that at some point in the future the starter may need to be replaced as you may hear that when it starts in the video. But it starts fine now anyway. Transmission works excellent and clutch is very good. If painted it’d be real nice as it is all real straight. Or keep as a excellent example of a orginal John Deere 40. The shop spent 5 hours on it replacing any seals and 0 in parts put in it. No leaks at all now and tuned up and ready to go. Robert at The Tractor Barn at (512) 573-8359.
