@Firedancer1987 yeah mine would dig right under that and wouldn’t last long. They can easily dig under a fence as well. I wouldn’t try it.

@paidskn1488 They were mixed but still too young to breed. once they get about 4 months old I either butcher or separate them.

@iwantosavemoney I was still giving them some pellet and I had water bottle attached to the cage.

@Crunchy68 I had them in there for a long time but eventually they got butchered. I really dont know how many sq ft per rabbit it would take. Those cleared that spot very fast though. So I just moved it when they got low. Ended up being about twice a day. The bigger you make it the less often you have to move it.

@ChristyxD122 I still gave them some pellets every once in a while. If you feel the rabbits you can tell if they are getting lean or not. You start to feel them get too lean give them some pellets or calf mana.

@caholaway Yes. But I didnt really have a problem with most of them. They were too busy eating to want to escape. Had a few get out when they got older though. That is another reason to handle your rabbits. If they escape they dont try running from you. I just walked over and picked them up.

@LazyHaleyJRabbitry The difference at 12 weeks is almost nothing. They Califonians did seem to handle the heat better though.

That’s a great idea. How long do you leave the rabbits in there at a time?

@MBJB07 I left some of them in there for weeks. I made a little house out of a storage bin that fits inside.

I was wondering if you’ve had any problems with worms. I would like to have hutch with a
“ground floor” that could be moved around like this but have been told there’s a high risk of the rabbits getting worms.

@Davidthetree I have never seen any mites or worms on my rabbits.

Good to know. Man, with a small army of rabbits, chickens, and pigs, I can skip tilling all together. Thanks for putting this up.

@sweetaz130 I just put them back in the regular cages if it got too nasty. I added a plastic storage bin with a hole cut in for a house for them when they are in there. When the weather gets nicer I will do another video.

Love it @KainanRa After building ours we love to see them run too! One question…Does the exercise make the meat tougher in your opinion?

I noticed your rabbit waterer looks like a two-liter bottle. Is that what it is? If so, could you tell me what part I would need to get to convert two-liters into rabbit waterers?

    Thanks!

@christineshuck Yes it is a two litter bottle. I had bought a rabbit water bottle and it was too small so I just used the nozzle and screwed it onto a two litter bottle. I dont remember the brand or anything. They also fit old alcohol bottles.

@Davidthetree Just worm regularly. You are supposed to worm your rabbits regardless.

If young rabbits eat grass, at once very much,
they can die on coccidiose, the need hey
