    If you have the Shadow Broker DLC you find out the “farming equipment” he used was a pitchfork! ^_^

    Don’t fuck with Mordin.

    @aptanalogy I know what you mean. It’s not like he was an insane scientist who did it for the evilz, he knew right from the start what he was getting into, and knew he would regret it, but he also knew that he could do the job right and couldn’t risk someone else screwing the modified genophage. He always regretted doing it and only wanted some piece of mind. Shepard’s responses seemed too rash, I wanted a response where you agree with Mordin but can also tell him that it was still wrong.

    It was just a pitchfork. A pitchfork driven through the skull of an alien killing machine, but still just a pitchfork.

    Considering one of Spinal Tap’s many drummers died in a bizarre gardening accident, I think I’ll believe Mordin.

    @adrian194589 I agree, while it may seem harsh you have to look at the past and how the Krogans acted with their greater numbers. They weren’t ready and would’ve destroyed everything they came in contact with, just like they did with their own planet.

    @scotiej I don`t have an issue with the original genophage but the modified one. The krogans then weren’t ready, like you said, but the krogans now are a different bunch. They have another mentality. I mean look at Wrex who is trying to unite the clans back on Tuchanka. But this is another mater. What I didn’t like were paragon Shepards responses. He seemed like a prick to me. Like he never did anything that was morally wrong but did it anyway because he didn’t see a better way.

    @adrian194589 I think most people missed the point: This wasn’t sterility. It was Unwanted Abortion, murder. This isn’t a question of mother going to a doctor have a hysterectomy (sterilizing). This was a doctor going to a mother with an unborn fetus and killing it without her permission. That’s why it says thousands of Krogen are born dead. “Die at childbirth”. That’s not sterility, that’s murder. Hell, it’s not even abortion, it dies IN childbirth. Mordin helped murder children.

    Wait a moment. Mentioned drugs in list of tools to kill. Drugs type of medicine. Likely different type of medicine, but medicine nonetheless. Smell contradiction?

    He Killed a Krogan using a pitchfork the Krogan ripped off his right horn.

    @ShottyMario We’re all a little shaky on the specifics. Either way, Mordin is trying to rationalize what he did – as the best way to avoid galactic war. If he didn’t have serious doubts, he wouldn’t have been questioning himself so much.

    @RebelSoul2010
    Yeah, Mordin is a badass. If you complete the Shadow Broker DLC, it explains what happened on a terminal. On one of the missions he did with his old unit, a Krogan charged him so he stabbed it in the eye with a pitchfork, killing it instantly. Mordin Solus = 100% undiluted badass.

    This is the only loyalty mission with my Paragon Shepard where he went almost full-on Renegade. Mordin was justified in using the modified genophage.

    @kryptomanik That they call supporting the Genophage Renegade is BULL!
    They explain it again and again, and the proof is everywhere! Without it, the Krogans would wipe out all the other races, destroy hundreds of planets just like they did Tuchanka.
    Now, maybe the whole, ‘taking them from their homeworld before they were advanced enough’, that’s more argueable. But it was the only option. That or the Rachni kill them all.

    May 18th, 2011 at 21:32 | #22

    @adrian194589 The Krogans as a whole are the same. Wrex is one of a handful who want peace. Though, Wrex doesn’t even want that, he wants Krogan unity. I’ll bet he has no problem waging an intergalactic war once he solidifies the Krogans as a whole.
    The one thing stopping that I think, is the time he spent with Shepard on the Normandy.
    Unless…you didn’t take Wrex with you way back in the first game. In that case, you just screwed the Galaxy!

    May 18th, 2011 at 21:34 | #23

    @ShottyMario You’re so right!
    We better go with the alternative! WIPE OUT ALL THE KROGANS COMPLETELY!
    Well, it’s that, or let the Krogans populate out of control and dominate the Galaxy.

  24. adrian194589
    May 19th, 2011 at 12:50 | #24

    @00Clank No, they are not the same. Remember what Wrex was telling Shepard before he had to flee Tuchanka? That he was gaining support for peace and development. They were starting to change they mindset back then. Also, the galaxy still fears the krogan and they think that if the genophage is lifted the krogan will go to war again. While this is true for some of them , not all krogan want to fight anymore. At least, that’s what i understood from Wrex. And I let Wrex live, he’s too cool to die.

    May 19th, 2011 at 20:49 | #25

    @adrian194589 What crazy person would kill Wrex?
    The Salarians would not keep updating the Genophage if they though the Krogans were ready.
    Thing is, the few that will want to go to war will be able to repopulate themselves a thousand fold in the blink of a galactic eye. It is not safe to remove the genophage, or let them grow out if it.
    Don’t get me wrong, it sucks that the genophage is necessary, but that’s the thing. Galaxy needs it for now. It kept the Turians from wiping them out totally
