For those of us brought up in the country…?
what rules were given to you by your parents re..regards to the countryside
My old pa was adamant that we treated animals with caution, be it pets or farm stock.
Gates were always closed after us, and we never travelled as passengers on tractors.or machinery
Well we had electric fences all over, so we pretty much trained ourselves by trial and error. We crawled under the fences to get to, and away from farm animals. We lived near the woods and don’t remember being instructed as to what to do if confronting or being chased by wild animals, but climbing trees surely came in handy a few times.
If you’re born at the end of a large family, the parents don’t have time to train. We just followed suit and tried to survive it all.
