    These videos remind me of those corny videos you used to see in school…. I never got anything like that when i bot my 1992 White brand new – just handed me the paperwork, dumped the tractor off and off they went.

    I wanna know who REALLY goes and looks over the yard before they mow….i suppose its just a COYA video so noone sues em….

    Yeah, like the safety videos we used to watch in shop class? lol!

    Here’s my two lawnmower safety rules;
    1) Don’t do anything STUPID.
    2) Wear shoes.

    Yeah y always see people out mowing/weedwacking in like flip flops n shorts – like “Oh yeah- he’s losing a body part IF he slips…”

    I also have to ask- who really has all thier saftey switches ‘working’? 90% of my tractors came w/o already – a few still have functioning switches believe it or not…the most retarded one is the reverse shut off- like who doesnt look behind em when they reverse? I have to say that was the first one i removed from my 92 white- the seat one was next.

    hey i have a craftsman like this, but its not starting. its not getting spark, could it be the coil? any ideas?

    It could be the coil, but it could also be the kill switch grounding out the coil when it’s not supposed to.

    I cant get my blades to engage,it seems like the handle or cable is frozen,someone told me that it could need lubrication.I am trying not to pay to much for this.Any suggestions?Thanks

    Yeah, take your mowing deck off and see if the handle moves then. A lot of times the mechanism on the deck rusts up and gets stuck. A little WD40 and moving the piece on the deck that the lever would have moved by hand a few times should get it working smoothly again.

    In this video it says do not use high grade gasoline, they say it burns hotter. This is the contrary of everything I’ve heard about high grade gasoline. High grade gasoline burns cooler and thus is the reason your engine does not knock and runs smoother. And I’m pretty sure Briggs and most engine manufacturers not suggest a high grade gasoline. I know for certain RedMax and Honda does.

    I noticed that in the earlier years of craftsman mowers (1992-1994) the steering column seems to be very loose after a year or two, i use mine pretty hard so i know that could be a possibility but any suggestions for a quick fix??
