How much do they charge per acre.I’m just wondering how they can make a decent profit with the massive cost of the machinery. How many seasons would it take for a Krone big M to pay for itself. This way of silage making has more or less died out in my part of the country .Its now all round baling and wrapping we do.Surely they are just working to keep the bank manager happy!!!

@p4460 I heard the same thing about a contractor down our way once. With all the wages and diesel to pay for the cost of running an outfit must be huge not to mention depreciation on the machinery. which begs the question why do it?
