Get a feel for the “golden oldie” days of agriculture at the 31st Annual Camp Creek Threshers Antique Machinery and Threshing Show. This DVD contains video and photographs of Farmall, International Harvester, and John Deere tractors, water pumps, a saw mill, a corn sheller, balers, steam engines, a miniature railroad, and other antique farm equipment. This years theme was Farmall, but there are many other models of tractors in the show. This was a live event, so there are a few places where people were walking in front of the video camera. What show would be complete without a good old-fashioned threshing demonstration? From the 1800′s to the early 1900′s this was the way that the grain was harvested from the plant. An outfit would consist of a threshing machine and a separate tractor to power it. Wheat, oats, and other crops were fed into the threshing machine by hand and pitchfork where the grain was separated from the rest of the plant. At Camp Creek you can see up to three or four machines running simultaneously several times a day! Power is supplied by good old steam engines or gas tractors.
